ser homosexual en otro lugar / being gay at another place

***************************

After being living almost 4 months in Vancouver (Canada) I was in the mood for writing about a gay man’s life here. My life is not so different from how I used to live in Santiago de Chile, though, there are some details. Here, and not only at the gay village, it’s possible to see all kind of guys, queers, twinks, leathers, bears, cubs and blah blah blah, during all the day… couples can walk taking their hands, to kiss each other, etc. In Santiago it’s also possible to do, but here these things aren’t important… people don’t look them as strangers…

Here (and it is general, not just for gays) people hang out early, and drink just a little bit. The first is because the night comes very early (nowadays, at 5 pm is completely dark). I can’t explain the second.

Also, I think gay people live their sexuality more openly. Their sexuality is completely apart from their feelings. I don’t know (and I couldn’t say) if it is good or bad. It is so.

I don’t know what else to put here… sometimes a lot of things comes to my mind, but I can’t organize then now. As a summary, I could say the fact of having changed my home 10.000 km to north has been a soft shock. I can’t say I don’t miss, cause I miss EVERYTHING and EVERYONE… but I want to keep on living this little adventure and to discover where I’m going to be in a couple of years…

PS: I really would like to get comments about what I've written, more than corrections of my english... I already know it is not good.
